Principal Neuroeducation Specialist

Schools & Organisations

Turning diagnosis into effective support.

A report can describe a pupil’s or employee’s needs. The harder task is deciding what those findings should change in practice. Zoe advises schools and organisations on individual cases, communication, transitions and the creation of environments in which neurodivergent people can participate and perform without unnecessary barriers.

For independent and international schools

An adviser who has stood on both sides of the desk.

Zoe brings 30 years of teaching, a master’s degree in neuroscience and direct knowledge of international-school environments. She understands the pressures facing pupils, parents, teachers, pastoral teams, learning-support departments, boarding staff and senior leaders.

Her role is not to take sides between a family and a school. It is to help all involved understand what is happening, identify workable changes and establish clear responsibility for implementation.

Individual pupil advisory

Zoe may advise on cases involving:

  • A recent diagnosis
  • Repeated dysregulation or distress
  • The difference between behaviour at school and at home
  • School avoidance
  • A placement at risk of breaking down
  • Parent-school disagreement
  • A return following absence or burnout
  • A move between schools or countries
  • Boarding difficulties
  • Examination arrangements
  • Transition to university
  • Complex or conflicting professional recommendations

The engagement may include report review, consultations, environmental analysis, case meetings and a written educational strategy. The client and Zoe’s responsibilities are agreed clearly at the outset, particularly where a family and school may hold different interests.

Parent-school facilitation

When everyone is concerned and each party sees a different part of the picture.

Zoe can help clarify the issues under discussion, translate reports into practical educational language, separate evidence from assumptions, prepare families and staff for constructive meetings, define actions and responsibilities, establish review points and reduce unnecessary conflict.

This is structured facilitation and educational advisory work. It is not legal mediation.

School advisory partnerships

For schools seeking continuing support: regular complex-case consultations, leadership advice, review of learning-support systems, admissions and transition guidance, parent communication, staff development, boarding and pastoral review, post-diagnosis planning, neuroinclusive teaching practices, policy and process review, and support for school groups across several campuses. The partnership is tailored to the school’s needs rather than delivered as a standard training package.

Leadership diagnostics

A whole-school review may consider leadership and accountability, admissions, identification and referral, classroom practice, learning support, pastoral provision, boarding, communication with families, reasonable adjustments, transitions, staff capability and the lived experience of pupils. The result is a prioritised strategy for improvement, not simply a list of observations.

Talks and staff development

Zoe offers selected briefings and development sessions where they form part of a wider educational objective: understanding life after diagnosis, why home and school may see different behaviour, cognitive, sensory and emotional load, supporting neurodivergent pupils without lowering expectations, improving parent-school conversations, and preparing pupils for transitions. Public talks and training are not the centre of the practice; they are used where they support meaningful institutional change.

For organisations and family enterprises

Zoe may also work with organisations when a diagnosis affects an executive or founder, a valuable employee, a young adult entering a family enterprise, workplace communication, role design, disclosure decisions, performance and burnout, leadership development, international assignments, or succession and next-generation planning. Where regulated employment, clinical or legal advice is required, Zoe works alongside the relevant specialist.
