This notice explains what information the practice collects through this website, why, and the choices available to you. It is written to be read, not merely published.
Who we are
This website is operated by the practice of Zoe Aspinall, Principal Neuroeducation Specialist ("the practice", "we"). For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].
What we collect through this website
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to submit through the confidential enquiry form: your name, email address, optional telephone number, optional country or time zone, the capacity in which you are enquiring, who the enquiry concerns, a brief outline in your own words, and how you heard about the practice.
We deliberately ask you not to include diagnostic reports, school records, medical detail or other highly sensitive information in the initial enquiry. Where documents are later needed for an engagement, secure arrangements are made separately and with your explicit agreement.
If you arrive at the site through a link we have shared with a professional introducer (for example, a printed letter or briefing note), the link may carry a short code identifying the professional channel, not you. This helps us understand which professional relationships lead to enquiries. It contains no personal information about you.
Why we process it, and on what basis
Enquiry information is used solely to consider and respond to your enquiry and, where an engagement follows, to establish it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have chosen to send us, and, where an engagement is formed, the steps necessary to enter into that engagement. We do not use enquiry information for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their purposes.
Where it is held
Enquiry information is stored on infrastructure located in the United Kingdom. Notification emails to the practice are delivered by our transactional email provider, Postmark, acting as a processor under contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to twelve months and then deleted. Where an engagement follows, information is retained as part of the client record for the duration of the engagement and any period required afterwards for legal and professional purposes.
Confidentiality within the practice
Enquiries are reviewed personally by Zoe. Information is shared with schools, advisers, family members or other professionals only with the appropriate authority and consent, decided case by case. Being involved in a client’s life does not by itself entitle anyone to information about them.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no tracking pixels. If you arrive via a coded link, the code is held temporarily in your browser’s session storage so it can accompany an enquiry you choose to send; it is discarded when you close your browser and is never used to follow you elsewhere.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You may also object to our processing or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Write to [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this notice
If our practices change, this notice will be updated and the date below revised.
